I was initially only going to write about barbeque sauce but in the composition
of those thoughts I realized the underlying presence of something strongly defended yet
outside of our daily considerations. Let me start from the beginning...
I used to live down the road from a barbeque restaurant in the Gulf Coast on the
mainland. The secret recipe was passed down for a few generations until but one man had
come into possesion of it and had no worthy bearers for such a prize and responsibility
to pass it on to, himself in the twilght of his years. Thus, he gave it to a person who
had been dear friends with him, a person capable of doing what needed to be done and show
the world how good it was. He took it all the way to FoodNetwork and franchises. The name
of the restaurant is The Shed. You should check em out. Good B-B-Q for real.
I later move to Kaaawa almost the same distance from Uncle Bobo's. I initially
took enjoyment in their availability but was very much more knocked out by how great it
all was. All natural shaved ice. That's it. I'm sold. But, the sauce is nothing to shake
a shank at, forgive the pun. I especially enjoy the burgers and ribs, at the same time.
I'm surprised they're not more known. But maybe they are and I just don't know it.
So I took a look at the humor of the situation and say that we should appreciate
the long standing things we have and the long standing things we make. Also, bbqsauce.
